Change Today, Change Tomorrow created a petition to address the city's food deserts by adding grocery stores in west Louisville.

"It started as a grocery store run but more than it was creating access, bridging the gap of access," Bussey said.

The amendment comes after weeks of protest and demands for reform.

Farmer's Friendly Fridge will start at the Shelbyville Rural King on weekends. Then, it will go to neighborhoods and set up at local churches.

The mobile market will be a converted 50-foot trailer stocked with fresh produce, meat, dairy, eggs, butter and juice.
