Ritter went into the restroom after seeing a group of students inside in violation of school policy, the statement said. 

Greater Clark County Schools (GCCS) said it is investigating an incident between a staff member and a student at Jeffersonville High School.

The neighborhood, deemed Trophy Ridge, will feature 42 homes, ranging from $475,000 to $600,000 in price.

Superintendent Mark Laughner said the contractor is fixing the issue at no cost to taxpayers, and the $55 million campus will open its doors as planned next week. 

The new school building combines Jonathan Jennings Elementary and Pleasant Ridge Elementary schools into one building for pre-K through fifth grade. 

The new building features updated amenities, including a slide inside the school—which has many students eager to start the upcoming school year.
