One of the drivers was trying to make an illegal U-turn using an emergency turnaround when the crash happened.

A 29-year-old man was was killed in a crash Monday morning on Interstate 65 near the Hardin/Bullitt county line.

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 3700 block of St. John Road just before 2:30 a.m.
