As parents are facing more changes and decisions, the district hosted a virtual information session Tuesday evening about two proposals that would implement three different start times instead of the nine JCPS currently has.

Kentucky lawmakers want to address in-school student violence and the recent teacher shortage with a new statewide discipline plan.
The plan includes start times ranging from 7:40 a.m. to as late as 10:40 a.m. Most schools would start at either 7:40 a.m., 8:40 a.m. or 9:40 a.m.
The district approved a 4% increase in June for the 2022-23 school year, adding up to a 9% raise in six months.
The legislature will ultimately vote on what to approve in the 2021 budget.
