Interstate 65 South will close overnight Tuesday, April 7, and Friday, April 10, as crews continue work on the second and final phase of a project to replace expansion joints on the Kennedy Bridge.

Louisville drivers should prepare for another overnight shutdown of Interstate 65 South on the Kennedy Bridge.

The Kennedy Bridge reopened Saturday morning after a planned overnight closure.

KYTC said the closure is part of the expansion joint replacement project for the Kennedy Bridge, which carries all southbound I-65 traffic across the Ohio River from Indiana into Kentucky. 

Crews will be working on the ongoing bridge joint replacement project.
