Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear announced a $1.76 billion project Thursday coming to Paducah, the largest capital investment in the history of western Kentucky.

The restaurant will be located between Carali's Rotisserie Chicken and Lexington-based Goodfellas Pizzeria on Baxter Avenue.

Joann Fabrics closed its Clarksville location in 2025 as part of a bankruptcy proceeding, along with several other regional locations.

Nearly 600 business owners and community leaders gathered Tuesday for the annual economic impact report from the Louisville Downtown Partnership, where leaders discussed what is working downtown and what still needs improvement.

The shop's original location on East Main Street closed March 7 ahead of its move around the corner to East Washington Street.

Leaders in Jeffersonville said the restaurant will take over the former site of Game on the River.

The take-out only restaurant is now open, serving brunch with a Southern comfort flair.
