NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WDRB) ā Upland Brewing will take over a popular brewery in southern Indiana.
The Indiana-based brewery bought the Floyd County Brewing Company, along with the Thirst and Main campus, on West Main Street in downtown New Albany.
"We're excited about the opportunity to build on what the Floyd County team has created and to continue serving the southern Indiana community in a meaningful way," a spokesperson said in a news release Wednesday.
Upland said FCBC will remain open and operating during the transition period as it develops a rebranding plan that will work for the area.
As the acquisition moves forward, Upland said customers will see updates to the restaurant space upstairs, but The Enchanted Forest will stay the same, "preserving the unique atmosphere so many people love." The Enchanted Forest and Music Hall is located behind the brewery.
A reason for the sale wasn't given.
According to our partners at Louisville Business First, FCBC opened in 2015. With a medieval theme, the restaurant and brewery sells craft beer, food and cocktails.Ā
Upland Brewing is based in Bloomington, Indiana, and has a location along the Ohio River in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
