Four former and current Louisville Metro Police officers were charged Thursday with federal crimes in connection with the fatal raid on Breonna Taylor’s home in 2020.
“…Breonna Taylor’s death is a tragedy, and Myles Cosgrove did not violate LMPD policy,” attorney Scott Miller concluded. “He deserves his job back.”
Yvette Gentry told the Louisville Police Merit Board that Myles Cosgrove never identified a target and fired 16 shots in different directions after he and former Sgt. Johnathan Mattingly burst into Taylor’s home during a March 13, 2020 raid.
Thursday, the Louisville Police Merit Board set hearing dates for Myles Cosgrove.
Det. Brett Hankison 'should have known which direction he was going, how fast he was going and whether his lights and siren were on,' an investigator concluded.
