Young people in the Louisville community said they're eager to see an end to the growing violence in their community.

The group participated in a panel discussion Tuesday evening at the California Community Center as part of a series of events marking National Youth Violence Prevention Week.

Teenagers in Louisville have been both the victims and suspects in recent violent crime. Now the city is taking part in a national effort to change that.
