The bill would gradually increase the minimum wage over a 5-year period, eventually bringing the minimum wage up to $15 an hour by July 2028. 

The work group will investigate facilities, staffing, training and more.

The Kentucky Senate passed a bill Friday to block the release of personal information about judges, prosecutors, police officers and other officials, who could sue over the disclosure of those details.

The Republican-backed measure sparked a long debate before clearing the chamber on a 28-8 vote, which sent the proposal to the GOP-dominated House.

The video, which has 4.3 million views as of Sunday, shows Sen. Reginald Thomas chanting a popular rap song in front of the Senate chambers.

The minimum wage would go from $7.25 to $10 dollars in 2022, and gradually rise to $15 by 2026.
