RSV is running rampant in Kentucky, infecting infants, kids and adults in record numbers.

This week, the Food and Drug Administration approved the first RSV vaccine for pregnant women.

But now, there's a new way for parents to keep their child out of the hospital.

Experts say the peak season for RSV is typically not for a few months. 

While cases are bad in the winter, doctors say there were a lot of cases in the summer and that case numbers are much higher right now with the winter months around the corner.
