Workers will be replacing concrete slabs along the interstate.

The I-71 South ramp to I-264 West in Louisville will be closed Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon for guardrail repairs, and drivers are urged to use alternate routes.

The left most westbound lane will be open, and access to the ramps will remain. 

While the westbound directional closure is in place, the suggested alternate route will be I-65 and I-265. 

Beginning Tuesday, May 28 at 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, May 29, Interstate 265 north will be cut down to one lane from Interstate 64 to Exit 27, Shelbyville Road. 

While the eastbound closure is in place, the suggested alternate route will be I-265 and I-65.

That means traffic won't be able to use the bridge to get from Louisville to Indiana.
