Louisville Metro Police Officer Robinson Desroches has filed a lawsuit claiming he was discriminated against after expressing his belief that the department lied to the public about Taylor’s death.
A Louisville man now faces federal charges for shooting two Louisville Metro Police officers in September during protests over the death of Breonna Taylor.
In a Facebook post Friday, the Louisville Metro Police Foundation said Desroches has a "long read to recovery" but will eventually be able to return to work.
Maj. Aubrey Gregory was shot Wednesday near Brook Street and Broadway as police were trying to control crowds protesting the grand jury decision in the Breonna Taylor case.
Gregory was shot in the leg Wednesday and released from the hospital.
