A firefighter was sent to the hospital for evaluation after falling through the floor while battling a house fire in southern Indiana.

The Lafayette Township Fire Protection District responded to the reported structure fire just before 7 p.m. in the 5000 block of Bent Creek Drive.

It's been more than three weeks since it rained in the area. 

It happened around noon Sunday in the westbound lanes of I-64 between the U.S. 150 exit to Greenville and exit 118 to Georgetown.
