A new road was officially opened Monday in Georgetown.

A booklet handed out when the city-county building first opened in 1961 shows all the different rooms inside. Fast forward to today, and not much has changed.

County commissioners said the tank will cost $5,308,500 and is being paid for using American Rescue Plan funding and a loan.

The announcement comes just two days after the Floyd County Council unanimously gave Scott Clark a vote of no confidence.
