The closures will allow crews to shift traffic for Phase 4 of the Sherman Minton Renewal project.

The right lane of Interstate 64 West, on the top deck of the bridge, heading into Indiana will close at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8. 

More lane closures are expected this Friday and Saturday on the Sherman Minton bridge. 

With the completion of Phase One, crews have finished the first half of the eastbound deck of the bridge. 

For nine days, drivers won't be able to use the Sherman Minton to get from New Albany to Louisville.
