The crash happened Monday night between Salem and Pekin.

The stabbing happened Wednesday afternoon at the man's apartment in Pekin.

Family, friends and students traveled to an Indianapolis hospital for Coach Bowsman's honor walk before his organs were prepared for donation. 

The case remains under investigation.
