LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- With one putt, Will Judd secured his second consecutive Boys Region 6 individual title and a berth in the semi-state for his school.

The Christian Academy senior got up and down from behind the 18th green at Nevel Meade Golf Club for a par and a six-under 66. That was one-shot better than St. Xavier's Luc Kelty.

The Tigers Thomas Evans and Brody Alexander tied for third with matching 69's while Will Stuart's 1-under 71 closed out their dominant team total of 12-under for a 2nd region victory in three years.

The top two teams advanced to next week's semi-state and when Judd made his par putt from about five feet at 18, that gave CAL second place and a second straight trip to semi-state, by one shot over Eastern.

Trinity finished 4th and Oldham County rounded out the top five.

"I felt pretty comfortable all day," said Judd, a UK signee. "I felt pretty good about my swing for the last couple of weeks, shooting a couple of low numbers. That definitely helped having that confidence down the stretch and knowing that I could get up and down, doing what was needed for the team and to get the individual victory as well."

The semi-state is next Wednesday at Pendleton Hills Country Club in Butler, Kentucky. The Boys State tournament finals are at Bowling Green Country Club Oct. 7-9.
