LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The high school football season is winding down across the Louisville area and southern Indiana, and so is WDRB Sports Player of the Week.
With 55.7% of the votes, Christian Academy of Louisville running back Jeffrey Vazzana is the WDRB Sports Player of the Week for Week 14.
Vazzana didn't hesitate to show off his speed in the very first play of CAL's game Friday night, running 57 yards and leading CAL to a 48-7 victory against Union County.
Here's how the voting broke down:
- Vazzana: 55.7%
- Mason Trimble, St. Xavier quarterback: 31.6%
- Zane Johnson, Trinity quarterback and Cross Watson, receiver: 12.6%
