LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Eight days after the signature win of the Jeff Brohm era, Louisville faces the next challenge: building on it.
The 19th-ranked Cardinals are back home Saturday night to host Boston College, a team that gave them a serious scare a season ago. Last week, Louisville got the attention of the college football world by going on the road and taking down No. 2 Miami — matching the highest ranked team it has ever defeated.
Now comes a challenge that’s just as tough — sustaining it.
Louisville’s defense forced four turnovers and its offensive line delivered its best performance of the season in the Miami win. But was that newfound offensive line stability a sustainable fix, or just a schematic success against an aggressive opponent?
Boston College jumped out to a 20-0 lead and led 27-10 last year before Louisville scored 21 unanswered points to escape. The Eagles’ offense has struggled for consistency in 2025 but features dangerous playmakers in wideout Lewis Bond and running back Turbo Richard, and made a quarterback change last week in hopes of a spark.
This is Homecoming for the Cards, who are 61-37 all-time in such games and 22-5 in Homecoming games at L&N Stadium.Â
It’s also the first visit to Louisville from the ACC Network’s flagship football program, ACC Huddle. The set will be located at The Alley, near L&N Stadium, and Cardinals’ coach Jeff Brohm will appear live at 10:15. Breakfast will be provided to fans while supplies last and fans can take part in exclusive giveaways including a limited-edition t-shirt.
Free parking is available in the Solea Lots (2441 S. Floyd St.) beginning at 9 a.m., with The Alley opening also at 9 a.m. (Fans will have to leave that lot once the show is over at noon.)

The Quote
"It was 20 to nothing. We were losing the fourth quarter. We were down by 10, and we had to fight and claw to get back. And you know, if our guys don't remember that, then there's something wrong with them.”
— Jeff Brohm, Louisville head coach, on Boston College
The Pick
Louisville 38, Boston College 14
Boston College’s passing attack could test Louisville’s secondary, but the Cardinals’ defensive momentum and big-play offense should carry the day. Still, a backdoor cover is a worry. Momentum matters, and if Louisville is serious about its postseason hopes, this is a business trip at home.
