LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana University's alumni team advanced in the first round of The Basketball Tournament.
Assembly Ball defeated The CRU, Valparaiso alumni, on Friday 89-79. Former IU guard Yogi Farrell scored a team-high 27 points.

Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis is hosting a regional that features teams from Indiana, Purdue and Butler. Former IU stars Yogi Ferrell, Troy Williams, Miller Kopp, Race Thompson, Devonte Green, Jordan Hulls, Juwan Morgan will compete for Assembly Ball.
Assembly Ball will play Men of Mackey, Purdue's team, in the round of 32.
