LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Looking to bolster his frontcourt depth following the departure of James Scott and eligibility questions surrounding transfer Aly Khalifa, Louisville men's basketball coach Pat Kelsey has turned to the NBA Academy Africa.

Mouhamed Camara, a 6-foot-7-inch, 215-pound forward from Senegal, told Travis Branham of 247Sports he has committed to the Cardinals.

The 20-year-old Camara spent the past three years developing at the NBA Academy Africa and is currently playing in the Basketball Africa League with a team called Made By Ball. In two games, he has recorded three points and 11 rebounds.

Camara is rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports but is viewed as a developmental player. In Branham's report, NBA Africa technical director Roland Houston said Camara brings "a competitive spirit, and that's something Coach PK will love about him. He is going to work hard every day. He doesn't know how to do anything else but play hard."

He's the second player Louisville has recruited from NBA Academy Africa. Emmanuel Okorafor joined the program under former coach Kenny Payne.

Camara will be part of an increasingly international frontcourt for Kelsey, joining 6-foot-9-inch forward Sananda Fru, who has been playing professionally in Germany and is expected to contribute immediately.

Kelsey remains active on the recruiting trail and is expected to add at least one more player ahead of the 2025–26 season.
