LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Racing Louisville FC came up short again in making the NWSL Playoffs.
Racing lost at home Sunday, 3-1, to the San Diego Wave which put them in 9th place, just one spot short of making the playoffs for the first time.
Racing finished the season by losing four of its last five matches to fall out of playoff contention.
San Diego scored within the first three minutes and got out to a 3-0 lead in the second half.
Racing finished the season with a 7-7-12 record and 28 points.
