LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's not yet coming from a trainer or coach, but if there's such a thing as "mom official," Louisville running back Isaac Brown could return to action Tuesday for the Cardinals when they face Toledo at 2 p.m. in the Bush's Boca Raton Bowl of Beans.
Brown was listed at the top of the team's bowl depth chart, along with KeyJuayn Brown. The sophomore was the team's leading rusher in 2025 with 782 net yards on 91 carries, an average of 8.6 yards per attempt, despite missing four games and having only one carry in a fifth.
He hasn't played since sustaining an injury at Virginia Tech, where he carried 16 times for 130 yards and a score. He missed the season's last four games — three of which were Louisville losses.

The post from Brown's mother, Sabrina Jefferson, came via her Facebook account and reads, "Good Morning Family and Friends. Don't FORGET TO SEE Him Play Today @ 2pm. This Is What We Been Waiting For To See HIM back On The Field. Lets Go Son. Lets Go Cards."
It's not the first time fans have gotten excited about a Facebook post from Jefferson. Before Louisville played Kentucky, she posted that she had a dream that both Brown and Miller Moss both played against the Wildcats. Her dream was half right. Moss did play.
There has been no official word from the school on Brown's availability for Tuesday's 2 p.m. game.
