LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It has been rough times for Louisville, Kentucky and Indiana men's basketball lately. Kentucky just dropped its second straight home game. Indiana fell at home to Penn State and is likely to miss the NCAA Tournament.
And despite a solid home victory against Florida State on Saturday, Louisville is just 7-15.
Which prompted the question for WDRB's Eric Crawford and Rick Bozich: How angry is everybody? They take a look at the "anger index" for each fan base on the latest episode of "Overtime," available now on WDRB+.
A rundown of the rest of the show:
- WHAT TO DO WITH TY-LAUR JOHNSON? Louisville freshman Ty-Laur Johnson had the game of a lifetime Saturday night against Florida State, with career-highs of 27 points, 11 assists and 5 rebounds against FSU. When Skyy Clark returns from injury, what do you do with Johnson if you're Kenny Payne?
- KENTUCKY CRASHES: Kentucky went from cruising along to DEFCON 1 after back-to-back home losses. It's the third time in four years Kentucky has lost back-to-back home games. Three of Kentucky's losses – and all the home losses – have come without DJ Wagner. What do you believe is Calipari's most dangerous lineup?
- HERCY'S HIP: Louisville junior guard Hercy Miller is going to undergo a hip procedure and will be lost for the rest of the season, the program announced on Monday. For Louisville, the season is becoming a battle of attrition. Skyy Clark is hurt. JJ Traynor is lost. Dennis Evans is gone. Koron Davis never played. Trentyn Flowers never even practiced. How do you evaluate the rest of this Louisville season with a lineup this depleted?
- HOOSIER HYSTERIA (NOT THE GOOD KIND): The Indiana basketball team took one of its worst losses of the Mike Woodson era when Penn State came into Bloomington and beat the Hoosiers by 14 on Saturday afternoon. Ken Pomeroy doesn't project the Hoosiers to win another game this season. It was going to be tough for Mike Woodson given who he lost coming off an NCAA Tournament year. But it wasn't supposed to be this tough. Can Indiana pull out of this flat spin?
- SUPER BOWL LVIII: Super Bowl 58 is coming up Sunday. What Super Bowl story do you want somebody to tell? And what story would you like to avoid.
- NYSOS ROLLS, BUT NOT TO DERBY: It's fair to say after this weekend's early prep races for the Kentucky Derby, that (for the moment), the most intriguing three-year old prospect is Nysos, the son of 2016 Derby winner Nyquist, who has won all three of his career races – by a combined margin of almost 27 lengths – and put up an impressive 105 speed figure on Saturday winning the Robert B. Lewis Stakes at Santa Anita. The problem? Nysos is trained by Bob Baffert, who is banned from Churchill Downs. We've talked about this before, but now we're here – is it a problem that a colt that could be the best 3-year-old will NOT run in the Derby?
- WHAT WE MISSED: Louisville women's basketball heads to N.C. State. Indiana women fall at Ohio State. Rick Pitino sounds off on NIL. Louisville resident Kyle Troup wins the Pro Bowlers' Association US Open.
- PARTING SHOTS: Rick Bozich on Indiana basketball. Eric Crawford on why he's waiting to get into the ”next Louisville coach” discussion.
