LEXINGTON, Ky. — With Kentucky’s offense humming and its emerging stars clicking, the Wildcats picked up their seventh win in eight games Wednesday night, and made it look easy.

Otega Oweh scored 24 points and Brandon Garrison recorded a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead Kentucky to a 94-78 win over Oklahoma at Rupp Arena. The Wildcats (16-7, 7-3 SEC) shot 50 percent from the field and hit 12 3-pointers in one of their most complete offensive performances of the season.

Collin Chandler tied his career high with 18 points and knocked down four 3s, while Andrija Jelavic and Denzel Aberdeen chipped in with nine and eight points, respectively.

After a back-and-forth first 10 minutes, Kentucky began to pull away late in the first half. Chandler hit back-to-back 3-pointers, and Mouhamed Dioubate added a late layup to give the Wildcats a 43-32 lead at the break.

Oweh and Garrison took control after halftime. Oweh scored 18 of his 24 in the second half, while Garrison added 16 points and 7 rebounds after the break.

Kentucky built its lead to 19 early in the second half on an Oweh triple, and though Oklahoma (15-7) made several pushes — getting as close as eight with just over three minutes to play — the Wildcats always had an answer. UK scored 19 second-chance points and won the rebounding battle 41-25.

Oklahoma was led by Xzayvier Brown’s 21 points and Tae Davis’ 16. The Sooners shot 52% in the second half but couldn’t match Kentucky’s firepower. The Wildcats finished 12-of-26 from beyond the arc and made 22 of 27 free throws.

Kentucky returns to action Saturday night when it hosts Tennessee at 8:30 p.m. ET in a marquee SEC showdown at Rupp Arena.
