LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Izela Arenas, a freshman guard for the University of Louisville women’s basketball, will enter the transfer portal, according to a report from Talia Goodman of On3sports.

Arenas, a 5-9 point guard, played in 29 games for the Cardinals this past season, averaging 4.2 points per contest. She shot 41 percent from three-point range in ACC play.

The daughter of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, she signed with Louisville as a 4-star prospect and Top 100 player, and a high school teammate of Louisville freshman forward Mackenly Randolph.

She led Louisville in assists in three games and had five double-digit scoring games, including a 14-point effort in a win over Clemson on Feb. 27.

She is the second Louisville player into the portal, following junior forward Nyla Harris.
