The move comes after the death of a student Monday at a fraternity house.
The move comes amid high vaccination rates at the school and lower rates of the virus on campus and in the Lexington community, news outlets reported, citing an email from UK President Eli Capilouto.
President Eli Capilouto said in a written statement that the university will transform Memorial Hall into a space to celebrate diversity.
