Officials from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said they are aware of at least 450 additional cases in across 30 states.
State officials say three people have died of lung injuries connected to vaping since Sept. 6.
The death was reported as part of the department's weekly online update of investigations related to injuries associated with e-cigarette or vaping product use.
