LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisvillians are ready to "tap the keg" on the 2nd annual Beer Week, which begins Friday.

Presented by the Louisville Ale Trail, Louisville breweries will gather to celebrate the local beer scene, showing off their local and international concoctions.

Michael Moeller with the Louisville Ale Trail and Roger Hugg with Gallant Fox Brewing visited WDRB Mornings on Wednesday to give the details of Beer Week.

The week-long event features beer and food tastings, special events at local breweries and panel discussions.

Hugg will be apart of the panel, From Stave to Glass Barrel, which is on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.

Louisville Beer Week kicks off with the Louisville Beer Fest on Friday, Oct. 20. It will be held at the German American Club, located at 1840 Lincoln Avenue, from 5-10 p.m. Beers, food and music will be on tap on Friday. Tickets are $25 and includes a commemorative glass.
