LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Derby Dinner Playhouse presents the regional premiere of the new musical "Bonnie & Clyde," now through March 29th.
At the height of the Great Depression, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow went from two small-town nobodies in West Texas to America's most renowned folk heroes and the Texas law enforcement's worst nightmares.
Fearless, shameless, and alluring, their story of love, adventure, and crime captured the attention of an entire country. Now, the most notorious couple of the twentieth century takes on a whole new adventure on the Derby Dinner stage. The new musical follows the young lovers' reckless and bold adventure.
"Bonnie & Clyde" features a non-traditional score by composer Frank Wildhorn that combines blues, gospel, and rockabilly music.Lee Buckholz directs the Derby Dinner production with musical direction by Scott Bradley.
The cast includes newcomers Madeline Perrone as Bonnie Parker and Michael McClure as Clyde Barrow. The production also stars Sara King, Elizabeth Loos, Paul Kerr, Tina Jo Wallace, Matthew Brennan, John Payonk, and more.
"Bonnie & Clyde" is recommended for ages 15 & up due to many adult themes and images in the show.Â
