Bob Guiney is on a mission for "Kelly and Michael: Live!" He's hitting the road for the "Great American Game Break." He's hoping to inspiring families to play more board games this summer. He kicks off the national tour Tuesday, May 28th in Louisville. Their game crew and van will be at the Louisville Bats game at Louisville Slugger Field starting at 5:30 p.m. You can find them at the admission gates at the Witherspoon Street plaza.
Guiney is a familiar face in Louisville, since his time on "The Bachelorette" and on his own season of "The Bachelor." He never misses the Kentucky Derby, and he has hosted the Julep Ball and Unbridled Eve charity galas.
He explains that everyone hustles home from work or school, mix in sports and lessons, meals, chores and homework - then it's so easy to collapse in front of the computer and tune out. As Americans, the hectic, non-stop pace of our daily lives forces us to make an effort to stay connected and plan face-to-face time with family and friends
Playing board games, he says, is one of the best ways to connect, and create those meaningful moments and lasting memories - they provide the ultimate solution to getting back in touch with your family:
-Relaxed atmosphere
-Improves communication
-Creates humorous situations
-Teaches the family to respect each other
-Great learning environment
