LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Friendsgiving is all about good friends and good company, so you may be wondering what to put on your menu this year.
Kroger joined WDRB Mornings on Tuesday with some fun dishes you can fix up or bring to a gathering.
All of the ingredients for each recipe can be found at your local Kroger.
Ocean Spray Cranberry Brie Bites
Ingredients:
- 1 (8 oz.) tube crescent dough
- Nonstick cooking spray
- Flour, for surface
- 1 (8 oz.) wheel of brie
- 1/2 cup Ocean Spray® Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 6 sprigs of rosemary, cut into 1" pieces
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a mini muffin tin with cooking spray. On a lightly floured surface, roll out crescent dough and pinch together at the seams. Cut into 24 squares and place into the muffin tin.
- Cut brie into small pieces and fill the inside of the crescent dough. Top with a spoonful of Ocean Spray® Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce, some chopped pecans and a small sprig of rosemary.
- Bake until the crescent pastry is golden, about 15 minutes. Serve warm.
Ingredients:
- 1 package (.5 oz.) fresh bay leaves (or sage)
- 1 package (.5 oz.) fresh rosemary
- 1 package (10 oz.) PRIVATE SELECTION™ Mild Cheddar Cheese Cubes
- 1/2 package (10 oz.) PRIVATE SELECTION™ Colby Jack Cheese Cubes
- 1/2 package (10 oz.) PRIVATE SELECTION™ Pepper Jack Cheese Cubes
- PRIVATE SELECTION™ Petite Cherry Snacking Tomatoes
- PRIVATE SELECTION™ Blue Cheese Stuffed Green Olives in Brine
- 2 packages (6 oz. each) PRIVATE SELECTION™ Wheat Entertainment Crackers
Directions:
- Arrange bay leaves and rosemary in circle on large platter.
- Place cheddar cubes overtop herbs, making sure bay leaves and rosemary are still visible.
- Add a mix of Colby jack and pepper jack cubes overtop cheddar.
- Garnish with tomatoes and olives.
- Serve with crackers, refrigerating any leftovers.
Southern Style Baked Macaroni and Cheese
Ingredients:
- 1 (16 oz.) box elbow macaroni
- 1 (8 oz.) bag sharp cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
- 1 (8 oz.) bag Colby jack cheese, shredded and divided
- 1 (8 oz.) bag mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 6 oz. American cheese, cubed
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. mustard powder
- 2 large eggs, beaten
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare a 9”x13” baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Prepare pasta according to package directions just under al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine 1 cup cheddar cheese, 1 cup Colby jack cheese, mozzarella, American cheese, cream cheese, half and half and heavy cream.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, paprika and mustard powder. Stir in cooked pasta and eggs, until well combined. Pour into prepared dish.
- Sprinkle remaining 1 cup cheddar cheese and 1 cup Colby jack cheese over macaroni.
- Bake 30-35 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
- Serve and refrigerate leftovers.
