LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -  Insects can take a toll on your yard in the summer months. Jim Lehrer from Brownsboro Hardware & Paint has some tips to keep them away.
Summer Lawn Care & Pest Control:
Japanese Beatles: Setting up a trap will catch a lot of Beatles; however, it is important to set the trap away from flowers. Liquid Sevin is also a great tool to fight the unwanted pest.
Keeping Bugs Out of the House: By spraying the perimeter of you home you will not only keep unwanted pests away now but for the next 90 days. Great before winter, so they don’t come inside and bug you!
Feed the Lawn: As we get into late summer we don’t want to forget about the yard. It’s Step 3 feeding time to give your lawn the food it needs to stay strong and green well into the fall. For small yard’s the Wizz by Scotts is a great little spreader.
