LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Since he was a kid sitting on his dad's lap, Chase Stetson has enjoyed firing up the mower, and getting to work.

"It's like therapeutic," Stetson said. "You kind of get your mind off of everything."

"The summer times, cutting grass, pulling weeds, landscaping, all that stuff," He remembered. "Went to college, got a marketing degree from UofL."

He thought he'd put it to use, working for his dad's lawn company. That is until he bought a drone, captured a cool video of himself on the job, and posted it to social media.

"That one got like 300,000 views, so I was like wow," Stetson said. "I did another one a week later, that one got 500,000 views. I was like there's something here."

That's around the time he became, "That Lawn Dude."

He doesn't stick to what your grandpa has being doing for years.

"We don't like straight lines around here."

He likes unconventional wavy stripes and a bullseye design. Many consider the videos to be oddly satisfying. So much so, a lot of people started sliding into his DMs. (Not like that)

"It said Rick Ross, I'm like there's no way," Stetson said. "This is fake."

It was the real deal. One of the kings of hip hop was watching the videos non-stop.

"The Lawn Dude ain't playing no games," Ross said in a video posted to Stetson's YouTube page.

Ross has 300 acres in Atlanta.

"Biggest residential home in Georgia," Stetson explained. "It's massive. "

The rapper was having a car show, and concert a few weeks back with some big name guests.

"Cam Newton was there, 2 Chainz," Stetson recalled.

Ross doesn't mind making it rain to make his place look good. The one kind of rain, "That Lawn Dude" doesn't mind.

More likes, more hearts, and more follows would follow. He now has two and half million followers across all platforms.

The latest to come calling: BMW America on the East Coast.

"Cut part of it, put their logos in the grass," Stetson explained.

Who knows who's next.

"I'm still waiting for some more, so Jack Harlow, if you see this, we want you next," Stetson said.
