LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- When you ride around the Beckley Woods subdivision in Louisville, it can feel like you're being watched.

"Is she looking at me?" homeowner Diane Harris suspects passersby wonder.

The "she" Harris is referring to is named Patty Play Pal.

"They (the dolls) were real popular, but that was in the 50s and 60s," Harris explained.

Harris has been using one she found at a yard sale for her daughter to prank her friends, her kids, and her kids' friends.

"My daughter's 16th birthday party, the next day, when everyone was getting up, that's what I wanted them to wake up to," Harris remembered with a smile.

They laughed, but the dog wasn't happy.

"I think she's a little creepy," neighbor Cindy Kleier said.

The doll does have beady eyes, aggressive bangs, a weird head tilt, and some real Bride of Chucky vibes.

"I've had her in the car," Harris explained. "I've had her looking down from the window."

When Harris decided it was time for the "dolly" to spend her 9-5, and every other hour of the day elsewhere, she turned to Facebook Marketplace.

"I thought golly, I've had her 20 or so years, maybe it's time to pass her on," Harris said.

So she got as creative with the listing, as she has over the years while pranking with Patty.

In the post, Patty peers out the window, and stares into your soul from the top of the stairs. Potentials responded to Harris by writing things like: "Ain't no way I'm letting that doll in my house."

So far, no one has been brave enough to make Cabbage Patch’s creepy cousin a roommate.

"After about eight days, and almost 21,000 views, I just thought this has been so much fun, I think maybe this is a sign to keep Patty," Harris explained.

Or maybe Patty decided she didn’t want to leave?
