LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Tattoo Festival happens this weekend.

WDRB's Keith Kaiser learned more about the tattoo culture ahead of the festival.

Tattoos are a form of self-expression, and the perfect chance to see the latest in tattoo trends is at the Louisville Tattoo Festival at the Kentucky International Convention Center.

The three-day event features more than 200 tattoo artists exhibiting their work and competing in contests in over 20 categories.

Competitions will be for healed tattoos as well as competitions each day for tattoos done at the festival.

Some of the best artists from around the world will join with the best of the Louisville tattoo culture.

Reality television tattoo stars will be on hand tattooing and able to be seen working their craft live, in front of attendees of the festival.
