LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville is the home of the Kentucky Derby and the University of Louisville Cardinals, and this weekend it will be the home the PBR (Professional Bull Riders). The BlueDEF Velocity Tour Finals stop at the KFC Yum! Center on Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10, 2015.

Louisville is the last opportunity for the world's best bull riders to gain the coveted points needed to move up in the PBR world standings and qualify for the prestigious $2.3 million Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on Oct. 21-25.

Pro Bull Riders Jeff Triplett and Neil Holmes will be part of the action. Each night fans will see more than two hours of high-flying thrills and heart-stopping spills as the talented stars of the PBR hang on tight to their bovine counterparts who can weigh more than 10 times their weight in solid muscle, some topping 2000 pounds. It takes just 8 seconds to be great at the PBR and the BDVT Finals is on that road to greatness.

The bull rider who earns the most world points throughout the PBR's 2015 season will become the PBR World Champion and win a $1 million bonus. The BlueDEF Velocity Tour Finals is the penultimate step to achieving that title, therefore all of this season's greatest PBR stars will gather in Louisville for the final qualifying battle.

In addition to the likes of Kaique Pacheco, the 21-year old rookie sensation who is the No. 1 man on the BlueDEF Velocity Tour (BDVT), the No. 4 bull rider in the PBR world standings and the frontrunner for the 2015 PBR Rookie of the Year title, Louisville PBR fans are likely to see Gage Gay (No. 3 on the BDVT), Bonner Bolton (tied at No. 4 on the BDVT), and Neil Holmes (tied at No. 4 on the BDVT) riding alongside major league Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) greats such as three-time PBR World Champion Silvano Alves, No. 2 ranked Matt Triplett, 2013 PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney (No. 3), and 2008 PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi (No. 7).

Tickets are available at the KFC Yum! Center box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com or via phone at (800) 745 3000. Prices start at $15.
