The new Adventurer's Grind Coffee Co. hopes to become a regular stop for those near Charlestown

CHARLESTOWN, In. (WDRB) — It's a brand new coffee shop with a sense of adventure.

WDRB’s Keith Kaiser visits The Adventurer's Grind Coffee Co. in Charlestown, Indiana.

The java joint opened in early October on Highway 62.

First, before the brick and mortar dream, owner, Kyle Calloway started a mobile coffee experience out of necessity. About a year ago, his employer was requiring people to come back to the office, but his closest office would be in Nashville.

Corporate burnout forced him to make a drastic change. The retirement dream was coming true faster than expected.

Instead of uprooting his family, he took a chance and pursued his passion for coffee. First, he started a mobile coffee truck to get a feel for the business. Then, an opportunity presented itself.

A former Starlight Coffee Co. location was available and the grind really began. The goal at The Adventurer's Grind is to provide an authentic coffee experience and build a community.

They offer handcrafted coffee made from the best local ingredients in a warm atmosphere.

Every sip fuels a sense of adventure.
