LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- The newly opened Mimi's Ethiopian Restaurant & Bar brings great flavors to the highlands.
WDRB's Keith Kaiser tries out the new restaurant on Bardstown Road.
Yared Hailemariam and his wife Yodit "Mimi" Woldetsadik opened the dining spot on Wednesday, August 5th.
Ethiopian cuisine features rich, flavorful stews called wat, seasoned with spice blends like berbere, and served on top of injera (a spongy, sourdough flatbread made from teff flour).
You typically eat with your hands, using pieces of injera to scoop up portions of meat, lentil, and vegetables.
Mimi wants you to experience authentic Ethiopian cuisine, warm hospitality and memorable dining moments.
