LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Singing Valentine makes for a memorable gift on Valentine's Day.

WDRB's Keith Kaiser joins the Thoroughbreds Barbershop Chorus before they serenade lovebirds.

The Thoroughbreds have been Louisville’sĀ premierĀ men’s acappellaĀ chorus forĀ overĀ 70 years, singingĀ four partĀ harmony in the barbershop quartet style.

A style of music that getsĀ itsĀ roots originallyĀ in the African American community, theĀ form was inventedĀ when fourĀ singersĀ wouldĀ gather at the local barbershopĀ andĀ harmonize to popular songs of the day.

A group of young gentleman led by Fritz Dryborough, formed TheĀ Thoroughbred Chorus in 1958.

The Thoroughbreds have become aĀ legendary chorus in the barbershop community singing music from all different era’s of American popular music.

The Thoroughbreds will be sending out quartets on the day before and on Valentine's Day.
