As expected, severe storms rolled through our area last night and did a lot of tree damage from strong straight line winds across our viewing area. The Louisville Airport recorded an 82 mph wind gust, which is the 2nd highest wind gust ever recorded at the airport, only 2nd to an 84 mph wind gust during the April 3rd, 1974 super outbreak. 

Before I go further, please be sure to keep London & Somerset in your thoughts as they are cleaning up damage from strong tornadoes last night.
