We've been enjoying cooler than normal temperatures here recently and even some days right around normal with highs in the mid-70s. Not easy to complain about that right? As we head into next week however, we may be leaning toward warmer than normal conditions in our area and perhaps an early taste at summer.
You can see the CPC's 6-10 Day Temperature outlook has us at a good likelihood to see above normal temperatures roll into our area during that time frame.
It may not stop there either. When you look at CIPS analog data, it gives us about an 80% chance of seeing warmer than normal temperatures in our area over the next 9-11 days....
...and also a 73% chance over the next 12-14 days!
Our average highs right now are in the mid-upper 70s so anything above that would obviously be considered above normal. Right now, May is running around 7 degrees below normal!! It's still early in the month, but we're also coming off April that ended up being above normal and much drier than normal.
High temperatures by next weekend could reach the mid-upper 80s again depending on rain chances! So if you're a summer lover, your time could be coming!
