If you're dreaming of a white Christmas like Bing Crosby....you're going to have to keep dreaming. We're warming things up a lot more getting closer to Christmas.

While about 3/4 of December has been below normal and we've already had a lot of snow, things are about to go the opposite way to end off the month, right in time for the official start of winter on Sunday.

Our average high right now is around 46 degrees, but we're about to go way above that. Temperatures gradually start to climb through rain chances early this work week and will likely peak on Christmas Day. Most data has us climbing pretty easily into the mid 60s at least!

The Climate Prediction Center's 6-10 Day temperature outlook also shows a very good likelihood for above normal temperatures not just in our area, but across most of the country!

We are likely going to be in the 60s from Christmas Eve through next weekend, even with some minor rain chances sprinkled in there.

The warmest we have ever been on Christmas Day was 75 back in 2021. We probably won't get that mild, but we also won't be too far off on Christmas. Obviously and unfortunately, that means no white Christmas again this year.
