A portion of pavement on Baxter Avenue collapsed due to a break in the sewer on April 19, 2021.

MSD closed the northbound lanes at 990 Baxter Avenue, just south of Highland Avenue, according to a news release.
A break in a column that was built in the 1900s caused the collapse, according to a statement from MSD.
