The attorney for the toddler's family says he wants to set the record straight on what really happened on that cruise ship in Puerto Rico.
Kim and Alan Wiegand, the parents of Chloe Wiegand, said at a news conference in South Bend Wednesday that they hope the lawsuit leads to safety changes, including additional signage, to prevent similar incidents.
The plea deal will allow him to avoid jail time.
