LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across Kentuckiana.
Here are a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening the weekend of Friday, Oct. 17 to Sunday, Oct. 19.
Glasstoberfest
Glasstoberfest will celebrate its 10th anniversary this weekend in historic downtown Corydon, Indiana.
The two-day festival is hosted by Zimmerman Art Glass, a fifth-generation glassblowing studio. Local artists, culture, food—including German food—and entertainment highlight what organizers call a community block party.
There will be glassblowing demonstrations, food trucks, screenprinting, a kids' zone, more than 20 local artists doing demonstrations, a beer garden and community yoga.
The festival is held in the 300 block of East Chestnut Street in downtown Corydon. It's open Friday, Oct. 17 from 4-10 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Seins on Main
The 3rd annual "Steins on Main" returns this weekend, bringing an Oktoberfest celebration to downtown Louisville.
The German-inspired festival is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18, at Repurposed on Main from 2-7 p.m.
Louisville Downtown Partnership and Against the Grain Brewery are partnering to bring back the outdoor celebration, which features German-inspired cuisine, games and contests, live music by German polka band "Boom Pah Pah," and more than a dozen local breweries.
Steins on Main is free to the public and showcases more than 15 local breweries including: Against the Grain, Mile Wide, Monnik, Trellis, Hometown and Ten20.
Below is a full schedule of events:
- 2 p.m. - Traditional Tapping of the Keg at 2 p.m.
- 2-3 p.m. - Happy Hour discounts
- Participating breweries will offer $1 off beers.
- 2-4 p.m. - Boom Pah Pah
- 4-4:30 p.m. - Yodeling Contest
- 4:30-5 p.m. - Best Dressed Contest
- 5-5:30 p.m. - Stein Hoisting Contest
- 5:30-6 p.m. - Schnitzel Toss Contest
Steins on Main 2025-branded .5L steins will be available for $20 while supplies last, according to organizers. Steins include one free pour at any participating brewery during the festivities.
Louisville Downtown Partnership is also offering discounted Uber rides through $20 vouchers to encourage safe driving and easy transportation. Uber vouchers can be reserved by clicking here.

Grateville Dead Music Festival
Local "deadheads" are invited to celebrate the music of the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia's birthday this weekend, Oct. 17-19, at Waterfront Park in Louisville.
The Grateville Dead Music Festival was first held in 2015 in honor of Garcia and the band on its founder's birthday and saw "unexpected success" with a crowd of over 2,000 people.
The three-day festival is held at the Brown Forman Amphitheater at Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville.
The family-friendly event includes local vendors, a full bar, food, activities for kids and more. According to the event's website, children 12 and under can attend for free with an adult who has purchased a ticket.
Festivities kick off Friday from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m. with performances from The Pranksters, Electric Garden and Hyryder, with a Midnight Afterparty at High Horse Bar.
Saturday runs from 1 p.m. to 12 a.m. with Tyrone Cotton, Grateful Dads, Nectar Valley, Mike Hood, Mr. Please, Fatbox, Roadie and Burn Cross Eyed, with a Midnight Afterparty at High Horse Bar.
Sunday runs from 1-10 p.m., with performances by Inflight Entertainment, The Low Glow, Shannon & Katie D, The Stolen Faces, Awen Family and Keller Williams.

Via Colori Street Painting Festival
Waterfront Park near the Big Four Bridge will be filled with an explosion of color this weekend for the Via Colori Street Painting Festival.
The sidewalks of the Big Four Lawn will be turned into an "open-air gallery, bringing the sidewalks to life with stunning chalk art murals."
Attendees can watch more than 150 artists creating their art in real-time, and explore food trucks and vendors. There will also be bounce houses for kids and family-friendly activities.
The festival, which is free and pet-friendly, runs Saturday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Louisville Earth Walk
You're invited to help celebrate the planet while raising awareness and funds to improve and protect the quality of life for the city this weekend at the 9th annual Louisville Earth Walk as part of TreesLouisville's Tree Week.
TreesLouisville says Tree Week, which runs Oct. 10-19, "celebrates the roles trees play in our lives through creative, informative and fun-filled activities and events" for all ages. Activities include self-guided activities, tree education, plant education, tree tours and more.
The Louisville Earth Walk, organizers said, is a community celebration "in support of a vision of a city where every neighborhood has safe and clean water, air and soil."
All are welcome to participate in the 2K walk. It starts at 10 a.m. at Shawnee Park, on West Broadway, in Louisville.
Participants are asked to register in advance. Once you're registered, you can help raise funds by creating a fundraising page for the walk that can be shared for anyone to make a donation.

Bonus Fall and Halloween events:
Trick-or-Treat at the Ballpark: It’s a night full of Halloween fun with trick-or-treating along the concourse, a costume contest , pumpkin decorating, face painting, and plenty of fun photo ops throughout the park!
- Friday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m.
- Louisville Slugger Field
- Tickets are $3. Kids 2-years-old and under are free.
- Trick-or-treating and costume contest start at 6 p.m.
- Halloweentown movie will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Jack O'Lantern Spectacular: Walk through the historic woods of the park, down a glowing path lined with the pumpkins made by local artists. The theme for this year's season is Jack's Pun-King Trail: A Trailway of Wordplay. New this year, the king of dad jokes will be crowned.
- Oct. 2 through Nov. 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Iroquois Park
- Tickets available for purchase here, or in person at the Iroquois Amphitheater. They range from $12-$16, and kids 3-years-old and under are free
Boo at the Zoo: The after-hours event transforms the Louisville Zoo into a living storybook, complete with music, characters, photo ops and safe trick-or-treating for kids.
- Kicks off Sept. 27 and runs Thursdays through Sundays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. until Oct. 30
- Purchase tickets here.
- Trick-or-treating is for kids age 11 and under, but everyone is invited to dress up and join in on the fun.
Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom: Over 1,000 bright orange pumpkins and larger-than-life pumpkin structures are lighting up Kentucky Kingdom during their 4th annual Fall Festival.
- Now until Oct. 26 on Fridays-Sundays
- Guests can play all day on rides and discover fall-themed fun like grames, colorful characters, food, and street performances.

Bardstown Scarecrow Trail: The Stephen Foster Drama Association is inviting residents and visitors to experience a new fall tradition with the debut of the Bardstown Scarecrow Trail at the Stephen Foster Story Amphitheater
- The free drive-thru event showcases scarecrow creations from across the community.
- Running daily from Sept. 26 through Nov. 15 until dusk.
