Floyd County Summer Vaccine Clinic

The Floyd County Health Department will host a summer immunization clinic in July to help families prepare for a new school year. The clinic is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 18 at the Floyd County Health Department, located at 1917 Bono Road in New Albany. Organizers said the clinic is open to all ages. Appointments can be made by calling (812) 948-4726 and selecting Option 3.

Baptist Health Floyd Blood Drive 

Baptist Health Floyd is looking for blood donors. It's scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 24. The Kentucky Blood Center's bloodmobile will be parked behind the Paris Health & Education Center on State Street in New Albany, near the rear of the hospital. Donors will get a "United We Give" t-shirt and a voucher for a free pint of Blue Bell ice cream while supplies last. Donors must have a photo ID. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Free state park entry for Indiana foster families

Foster families in Indiana can get free annual entrance passes to state parks. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources offers them to qualified foster families. To get a free state park pass, all you have to do is fill out a form by clicking here and emailing it to PermitApplication@dnr.IN.gov

Bullitt County Sheriff Ranch camp

The Bullitt County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the Kentucky Sheriff's Association Boys and Girls Ranch Camp. It's for ages 8-11.

Girls Camp dates are from June 29-July 2 and the boys camp begins on July 6. It's free to attend and transportation is handled by the sheriff's office.

Jeffersonville Animal Shelter is asking for donations and supplies. The shelter needs cat litter, wet and dry cat food, kitten wet and dry food, kitten formula, puppy food, leashes, medium, large and x-large collars and slip leads. Donations can be dropped off or shipped to the shelter at 201 Willinger Lane in Jeffersonville. 

Scam Alert Website

There is a new tool to help keep Kentuckians safe from scammers. The state's Administrative Office of the Courts launches a new scam alert website with common signs of a scam and resources to verify court information and report one.
