LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana man pleaded guilty Monday to child molestation and rape charges in Floyd County.

Jonathan Rodewig Jr. is accused of targeting minors in separate incidents over several weeks.

The New Albany man was arrested in August 2025 on charges of rape and child molestation after he was found driving around a girl who was reported missing. His bond was set at $1.5 million.

Court records accused Rodewig of luring one victim to his home and sexually assaulting her despite her repeated attempts to refuse. He's also accused of raping a 12-year-old girl at his home.

A plea agreement calls for Rodewig to be sentenced to 46 years in prison. He will also be classified as a "sexually violent predator."

Rodewig also faces similar charges in Clark County, related to another juvenile victim. He still has a warrant out for his arrest there.

Judge Justin Brown will determine how long he will spend in jail during a Sept. 10 sentencing.
