LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Baptist Health is making plans to throw a block party to get people screened for cancer.

The Community Against Cancer party is happening Sept. 6 at the Charles and Mimi Osborn Cancer Center on Kresge Way.

The event will feature free cancer screenings, kids activities, interactive exhibits as well demonstrations on healthy eating and vendors with a focus on health and well-being.

Organizers said education can play a major role in cancer prevention by helping people identify risk factors.
